Happy New Year Everyone!
Just like that, another year has gone by. To those who've been with us the entire 2025, thank you for being part of our community, I hope you had an awesome year of fun & fitness! And to those who joined us sometime this past year, or even these past few months, a very warm welcome, we're happy and excited to have you with us! Here's to bigger and better things to come in 2026!
We're going to start the year off with our classic Open Prep cycle. The CrossFit Open will run from 27 Feb - 16 Mar, and for those keen on competing further, the CrossFit Quarterfinals (For the Top 25% Worldwide in the Open) will happen on 26-30 Mar. Regardless whether you're planning to compete on the official leaderboard, or just joining in on our fun Amplify Team vs Team challenge, we're all gonna get some fitness in this cycle!
The focus this cycle will be heavily biased towards conditioning and skill capacity/development. You've already had a taste of it with the Wed/Thu long conditioning pieces from the previous cycle, we're gonna up the ante even more. While max strength work will take a back seat, we will still hit our 3RM squats and Oly work each week to keep the legs and technique fresh and ready should we need to lift heavy this year (fingers crossed).
The biggest change will happen on Sat, team workouts will be replaced by an Open Prep Programme for both 930am & 1030am BASE.
New this year, the 1030am class will be a longer class (90mins) with extra sets / lifting pieces added in for additional training volume. This class is open to everyone to try, and we will provide scaling options, however, I do caution that some of the pieces will be more advanced so please adjust things if needed!
Most importantly, let's all have fun, stay healthy, get fit, and start off 2026 on the right note! We have many exciting things planned for this year. Let's get it!
